What if the AI gives wrong answers?

LaunchChat is designed to be conservative. Every answer must cite a source from your knowledge base. If there's not enough evidence to answer confidently, it will refuse to answer and offer to escalate to human support instead. This dramatically reduces hallucinations compared to general-purpose chatbots.

How does content syncing work?

For Notion: After you connect via OAuth, we index the pages you select and sync every 30 minutes (configurable). For uploaded files: Content is processed immediately upon upload. For websites: You can trigger re-crawls anytime to update content.

Does it support multiple languages?

Yes! Our AI automatically detects the user's language and responds in the same language. We support 20+ languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, and more. No configuration needed.

Can I customize the AI's personality?

Yes! You can write custom prompts to define your AI's personality, tone, and expertise. We also offer preset templates like 'Friendly Support', 'Technical Expert', and 'Concise & Direct'. Core rules (citations, accuracy) are always enforced.

Can I customize the widget appearance?

Yes! You can customize the primary color, position (bottom-right or bottom-left), greeting message, placeholder text, and brand name. Pro plans also allow you to remove our branding entirely.

What happens when it can't answer a question?

When the AI doesn't have enough evidence to answer, it will: 1) Clearly tell the user it can't answer, 2) Show related articles that might help, 3) Offer an escalation form to contact human support. The escalation includes the full conversation context, making it easy for you to respond.

Can I use my own OpenAI API key?

Yes! Our BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) feature lets you use your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter API key. You pay us a small platform fee ($19/month) and pay the AI provider directly for usage. This is great for high-volume users who want more control over costs.

Is my data secure?

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Your API tokens are encrypted. We don't store conversation content longer than necessary for analytics (configurable retention). You can delete your data anytime.

What is your refund and cancellation policy?

You can cancel your subscription anytime from the Billing page in your dashboard. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
